Fun Monday # 99 2nd Anniversary Edition
Fun Monday has been running for two years now and I'm sure when Vikki and Willowtree spawned the idea they did not imagine that it would become a weekly staple for many of us.
Julie over at Another Chance Ranch is our delightful host for this anniversary edition of Fun Monday and she is taking us back to it's roots. This is what she says:
"I have decided to put a twist on the traditional Fun Monday. Instead of standing in your front door and taking a photo of what you see outside, let's turn around and take on of the inside".
Now, I'm letting you see things as they are, even though you will see my muddles and junk.
This is looking into my front porch, lots of shoes, some towels in case it's very wet, my mother's walker and a few plants. You can see the edge of a step ladder that I hate having in full view, but it's handy to grab in an emergency and Embee likes to keep it there.
I know many of you will have seen my hallway, but this is what you see when you enter the house. I couldn't get everything in but it's just a few chairs and a hall tallboy(not in view). The unit you can see belongs to my daughter, (there is a story to it but I won't bore you with it here), and I had nowhere else to put it!
Either side of the hall I have paintings and plate racks to display some of my blue and white china.
FM-21 What hangs on my wall
I wonder if we can keep Fun Monday going for another year! Head over to Julie to see who else is letting us view inside their front door.

Is it Monday already there? It's Sunday 8pm now and we are watching a movie.
Your rooms are so clean and organized!! Here, clean rooms last about few hrs for us before kids mess it up again! :D
School is off tomorrow and weather people saying we have 40% chance of snow, will see what happens.
I like your home! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful tour. I had to laugh, I can sure tell you don't have earthquakes like we do, I'm jealous of your plate racks. I think FM will continue, I've been doing it for a year, and there seems to be new people, all the time.
yes.. a lot of new people and old ones popping in and out.
I really blew it by not getting my camera out this morning like I planned.
I started watercoloring and forgot ALL ABOUT IT. HONEST.
The first time in ages that the color moved and I couldn't stop. ha ha
Very nice! Love the picture with the staircase! I also would have had shoes but somebody made me get rid of them. And gee a car door is so much more interesting to look at in the front room don't you think?
What a lovely hallway. None of it looks untidy to me. You should see what ours looks like on a Monday morning after a weekend with all of our lot!
I second Asha's comment. My first thought is your rooms are so neat and organized. I like the view to the outside from the front porch...so light and airy.
Did the worms arrive?
Those plates are very interesting. What a wonderful idea to display them! Your home looks very inviting.
Asha this is only the hall, notice I didn't show the three rooms leading off from here!
Jan no earth quakes I have far too many ornaments and china about. To tell the truth I'm getting fed up with all the dusting!
Pamela what have you been painting-will you be blogging about it?
karisma I did have a smile about the car door. If we had been doing this 2 weeks ago my porch was full of tools but I made himself put them away.
Sally luckily the dust doesn't show up!!
Molly the worms are out there now!
Church lady thank you-I like to think it's homely.
A warm and welcoming entrance !
It all looks so cozy! I love the entry way - what a great place to put muddy shoes and what not.
Happy FM to you! You have a lovely home. I didn't do FM this week because I didn't think it would be good to post a pic of my cats' litterbox, since that's exactly what sits inside the front door ;-) But I'm enjoying "visiting" everyone else!
A warm and inviting entrance, love your plate collection, blue is my favorite color.
I thought this was a real fun assignment! I love your collection of china, very nice! And your house looks very homely and warm!
Your house is super neat and tidy, yes, you can put my name up for next week, thanks for doing that Thanks for sharing your home
Your porch looks to be a very pleasant place to do a bit of reading in warmer weather. Do the windows go all around? Inside, I'm interested in you plate collection. I have friends who talk about collecting flow blue china. Not sure what this means but they get awfully excited to find new pieces. Looks like you've worked on your collection for many years.
I hope Fun Monday continue and attract new participants. Love the challenge of writng based on someone else's assignment.
Oh I love blue and white china! Beautiful home.
I ♥ the plants on your front porch! What a gorgeous and welcoming entrance to the house!
what a fun assignment, I am sorry I missed it. I like your entry, it is very warm and inviting.
I love the floor of your porch! And your hallway is very welcoming. I'd come visit you!
first I so love your poh floor!! and very very cute from then on in!! love those baby pics and what an impressive collection of plates!!
I hope my mum never ever dies. (That way I won't have to inherit her plate collection.)
Actually I am kidding. Not about the dying part, about the plates. Some of them are cool. I they were mine, I'd probably eat off them.
What an adorable house!! I love entry ways and wish I had one myself.
I can't believe this has gone on this long. Fun Monday was started with a crazy idea of Peter and myself and look!!
So neat & tidy! Very nice. I love your blue and white china collection.
Oh wow! I just love your front porch, all those windows must be so nice!! Your home looks lovely Chris!!
