Fun Monday # 16 What I see when I look out of the door!!

'Vicki is our host this week and she wants to see Spring pictures from our front door please, and also could you take a picture out your backdoor to satisfy her nosy sweet tooth? (her words not mine)'.

Vikki hosted the first Fun Monday back on 22nd January when she wanted to see the view from our front door; this was mine, should you want to have a look at the winter view.

I've made a little slide show to give you a tour, I am still in the process of planting up my tubs so the back yard is still a bit bare at the moment:

Remembering all the snowy scenes from last time I'm really looking forward to seeing your 'view' now spring is here.

PS having just viewed the published version I am disappointed the video is not as clear as when I play the original not sure why that is. I uploaded from you tube but kept it for personal use so I wonder if that makes a difference!!

PPS I heard from WT and My4kids that my video was not playing (I will not be beaten! I will master this if it kills me or sends me dotty in the process!) I hope after going back to square one it's working now, I'm sure you will let me know if it doesn't thanks.

It keeps timing out when I try to view it. Sometimes the old ways are the best ;)

I'm having the same problem as willowtree it doesn't seem to want to play. I wonder if that is the personal use issue..

Peter and Terri thanks for letting me know. I removed the first version from you tube and reloaded for public view it took ages but hope it works now - I hate being beaten, so please try again and let me know if there are still problems thanks.

Mother I don't believe you were up at 5:45am! Retired means you can sleep in.

Mollie is very impressed with your video.

embee well it keeps me out of mischief!!

beccy I had planned to get a drink and go back to bed and read then I thought I would just publish my post and good job I did otherwise I wouldn't have known it wouldn't play. I wonder why it was not very clear; tell Mollie when she visits next time she will be able to create a little movie of her own.

Great job with the video, Chris!
You have so many things planted already. I've held off, and good thing, too.
We had frost last night!

asha I seem to manage on less sleep since I've been retired, I can always have a nap in the day if necessary not that I do of course.

lisa our weather has been so mild if feels like we should be much further ahead, but I do worry in case there's a dramatic change. In fact it was very windy yesterday and we had heavy rain overnight which didn't clear until after mid-day today. The sun is out, warm breeze so no frost for us.

Chris, I could never see it from your blog, but when I double-clicked I could view it on youtube :). Kudos on your ingenuity! Color me impressed :).

Thanks for a rather inventive way to share your views...thoroughly enjoyable!

Dude, I am just impressed that you know how to post little videos.

You're right, your clematis is gorgeous. I've tried doing "You can grow" dances to mine, but so far it's not responding.

Such lovely flowers. I am jealous of your clematis. Mine just isn't doing well and I can't figure it out.

Great job with the video. I have yet to figure out how to do that.

nikki and karmyn embee says for the clematis plenty of fertiliser (he uses horse manure and growmore) and lots of water it's what he's been doing the last couple of years but this is the bests its been. Personally I think the mild weather is also a factor.

sam I think you would have produced a much slicker package.

vicki, heather, amy and stephanie thank you I'm still playing with my relatively new computer and I have to keep practising (have only done 2 videos so far) to perfect the technique.

I haven't read the other comments... but I wondered if the purple flower was a clematis???

enjoyed the tour. I need to quit my job so I can do stuff like this!!!!!

devon the lily of valley is from come cuttings given to me by my brother they have been in several years and this is the ONLY one to ever flower.

Kila we do get a lot of wind but it's pleasant when very sunny and good in the evening as it faces west

pamela it is a clematis (I think called 'the president')
