China- # 7 Shanghai-'The Bund'.
I still have a
The Bund is an embankment that runs along the Huangpu River. This river flows through Shanghai and separates Puxi (west) and Pudong (new area on the East side of the river). The Nanpu Bridge connects the two areas. This is an area where you see a lot of historical buildings and was originally a British settlement. I don't think it will be difficult to spot the British architecture in a couple of the pictures below. We visited the area and walked the embankment during the day and then returned for a river cruise after dark to enjoy all the lights.
You can't really tell from the picture below but this was an amazing intersection it reminded me of Spaghetti Junction.
I never did find out what this building was you can't really see from this picture but it stuck out from all the others, and to me, looks naughtical.
I will eventually get to show you other parts of China but I need to process my thoughts in some sort of order- and more importantly I'm still gathering in photos.
