I'm not singing in the rain
The weatherman got the forecast correct for last Sunday and we had a lot of rain, heavy winds and apart from a brief break through of the sun during the morning it remained pretty dark all day. After the not very successful video of San Francisco I wanted to try again (you know the old say if at first you don't succeed....) so for the want of anything more interesting I decided it would have to be the view of the rain from my dining room window. Today a week later the weather is pretty much the same although not quite as much wind, well not outside the house anyway!
The background rustling of paper is Embee and you can just hear the radio, and then I answered Embee's question~ well at least I know the sound works!!
When I look at this video and compare it to what I was doing this day last year it makes me feel really depressed.

and a very good practice it was...lol. What were you doing last year?
Sandy I was in sunny Spain.
Well done Chris! After a week of dark miserable wet weather, there is something strange in the bright sky this morning - THE SUN!!!!
grannymar we has a glimpse of sun for about 15mins and now it's back raining
Maybe I should repost that video over on Raindrops. :)
Great practise! We are coming home next week hopefully we'll bring the weather with us, I don not miss the constant winter rain.
I completely understand your situation. We actually had a sunny weekend - after a freaking week of rain. I am much happier.
We have the same weather like you,Chris! Rain, windy and grey sky!really depressive weather!
Oh, I HATE rain. It looks so dreary and well wet. Like your little curtains on your door. :)
Gotta go see what you were doing a year ago. But wanted to say I tagged you - you're it. :)
mum - you are so cute - I love you.
it's funny - but the cars look like they are flying through the air!
Fred says the video and sound quality are really great. He got a bit confused for a second when the sound of your voice started playing! Perhaps he thought you'd come back to stay.
We wish.
Sounded like It's a Living Thing by ELO.
Chris, that was much better videoing than the SF ones, I don't feel dizzy at all!
Ac now that'd an idea!!
Alix bring some sun please or at least dry weather!
karmyn this is the S.A.D season for me although it usually hits me after Christmas. I think it's because I came from SF sun to gloom!
steffi you know how I feel then!
Lisa C I'll be over!
Sam I see what you mean but that was taken looking through the dining room and the two front porch windows so it aint too bad!
WT You've got good hearing. Of course if I had cute pets (like some people) to video I could just sit and film!
you could have inches of snow like us, or ice like my parents. yeah! oh joy! feel the sarcasm. rain doesnt sound that bad right about now.although the lil animals sure are cute digging in the snow for corn kernels!
At least the temperature is above freezing. That would provide an totally different effect...
Swampy's Place
honey, that is a LOT of rain.
but just imagine if it were snow! you'd be shoveling for hours.
I agree about the weather, although we haven't gotten rid of the high winds down here just yet. It's still blowing a hoolie today!
I'm hoping the sun might just break through tomorrow. I can deal with high winds if there is at least a spot of sun:).
We had a fire in the fireplace today. Delicious.
Cheer up. xxx
things have been so busy-- sorry I haven't been around much. (I have lurked a little here and there, too)
loved to hear your voice!
Yes, sunny Spain does sound better than a rainy day. We have had some freezing rain, which is never fun.
That was good. Very steady. And how fun to hear your voice. I would like to see that out my window right now rather than more snow! BRRRR
I think it turned out well!
(Although I don't blame you, now I want to be where you were, too!)
Lisa
Our weather today is all snow! I like it more then rain except not as easy to drive in
