Why..................
....do I have to look at this out of my kitchen window!
I'll let you into a secret. I know you will keep this to yourself as I wouldn't want to tell the world that Embee is a plonker (and I don't mean the original meaning of this word!).
Why am I calling my husband an idiot....well he was due to get his car taxed on the 1st of May and he cannot find the necessary paperwork. He has been frantically going through mountains of paper for the past week or so, but so far has had no success. This means his car has no road tax and has to be off road until it's taxed. Hence it is in the yard....and how is embee managing without a car...well he isn't but I am....such is life!

Get thee out on thine bicycle!
I might if I was near a cycle path I'm far too nervous on the road. I prefer to walk which is what I intend to do later!
My time will come.
It sounds complicated over there with lots of paperwork.
opps! Hope the paper work gets found soon!
I have been without a car of my own for 9 months and I love my adventures on public transport and the walks between connections. Embrace your carlessness!
Do it on-line!
Just rejoice in the CO2 reduction. I rode my bike to work today and felt 'holier than thou' as I overtook the traffic jam.
AC its pretty easy if you have the three bits of paper you need. Namely the Insurance, MOT, and DVLA form. You can even do it on line as John suggests. It's what I did last year and will do again next month as we will be away when mine falls due!
Alix I'm not holding my breath!
Sam That's fine but we don't have a decent transport system like you do!
john I would have to do it for him but you still need some paperwork!
robbie I agree with you about reducing the CO2 admissions, and it must be great to beat the traffic jams~ but to be fair to Embee he has too far to go to work other than to go by car. I use my car infrequently now I'm retired!
I agree with Beccy!
Should always keep the paperwork where it is easy to find. Of course I should follow my own advice. I spent all last night searching for some papework I needed....
I wish I could get around here without a car, I would love to be able to do my daily errands without one (I hope you get past it quick, doesn't sound like you can do without either!)
Lisa
Bless you heart! Hope he finds the apaer work soon!
I paid my registration tax and then lost the little sticker to put on the car - panic! Finally found it under a pile of stuff on my desk... Embee has my sympathy.
Isn't there some gov't department embee can call to get a copy of the paper he needs? Embee can't be the only person to not have a good filing system. Or does embee suffer from that well-known phobia known as Fear of Local Government Employees?
Isn't that how it always goes? If anyone has to be with out a car around here or anyone has to drive the crappy car...it's me. I totally understand!!!
How would you know if you have a decent transport system? Have you ever put your arse on the seat of a bus?
It's not easy here, always, but at least I have been trying.
PS - Please tell Embee he has my sympathy and he's not a plonker, just a normal human being. Everyone loses papers - we all hate papers - we've all been there.
I love Beccy's comment! she is so cute!
What a cute vehicle!
this is so eerily similar to my life!! Those men, just gotta love them!!1
zoomie that would be a better way round as at least it would have been paid!
frannie, beccy is showing off because she has been out cycling with the children!
Ben and I had a good laugh at Sam's comment. I always managed to get around on a bus (sometimes two) before I had a car.
Sam I shall ignore your 'arse on a seat' comment because I cannot remember the last time!~ actually I can it was when I was on jury duty in 2005.
I agree with Beccy´s comment too!
Look at the bright side, you will save some money on gas while it sits!
I saw nothing wrong with this sight until you explained. Hope he finds the papers.
If you're tired of looking at it you can park it at my place...
