Fun Monday # 65 Heroes
Kitten is our inspiring hostess this week and the assignment she has set us is this:
I would like to know "Who is Your Hero" Not from TV, but your real life hero. It can one or it can be many. Just someone you have or do look up to. You can do this any way you would like and if you want or can, share pictures!
I thought long and hard about this one and then realised that the true heroes and the people I admire are those who are so brave and fight adversity each and every day of their lives:
- all the folk who are fighting (or who have fought) cancer, having to go through horrendous treatment and still managing to remain cheerful (this includes some of my blogbuds~ I will not mention by name).
- all the children who from an early age care for parents who are sick or have a disability and cannot look after themselves. I watched a TV programme about some of these wonderful children who do a marvellous job but miss out on their childhood~each and everyone is a hero in my eyes.
I am looking forward to meeting all your heroes!

Good points well made Chris.
My hero was a random guy on the street -- I was also going to post about some of my patients (cancer), but I still have difficulties doing that because of confidentiality issues....so I aborted on that concept.
There are many heroes in the world; people who overcome great adversity from many different areas. Sometimes, we just need to have our eyes opened to see them.
Perfect Heroes! Well said.
Great heros mum.
Great heroes.
Great heroes Chris. I wholeheartedly agree!
I think all mom's are heroes too, more like unsung heroes. Nobody cares until the Mother's day! ;P
Excellent heroes.
Great choices - I can't imagine fighting through cancer and remaining optimistic.
We all need to be reminded that every day requires Super Strength for some people.
Thanks!
Good points,Chris. Those are great heroes for all of us.
Lisa
I like your choices of heroes. The struggle to survive is challenging enough without having to have added adversity of a disease.
Very well said!
Heroes tend to go unnoticed most of the time. My hero at present is Mr P my boss he was there for me when no one else was. Without over stepping the line he offered support and encouragement on many occasions if it was not for him I would have quit my job long ago.
You're right, those groups are really heros.
Very beautifully said!
I agree with you Chris about the heroism of friends and family who suffer from diseases like cancer but still life a quality life. I too have friends who have fought this battle and won.
I vaguely remember seeing a program on children who are the family caregivers and the tremendous sacrifices in lost childhood that they make. It's been some time ago.
I think your Heros are perfect.
Love your message on a bottle also. Happy 5 de Mayo
well said Chris..they are true heroes for sure!!
Chris, Nice sentiment and two better groups would be hard to find.
Excellent choices, Chris. Thanks for widening our vision a little bit.
Yes! Those are some fantastic heroes!!
I very much agree with you !
I'm trying to catch up from yesterday ... running way behind schedule because it took a long time to create today's HoT post and my 'to-do' list is LONG ... sigh! I'm happy I didn't miss YOUR post for you're absolutely right about these 'every day heroes coping with life challenges in such inspirational ways' ...
I loved your 'message' in the bottle ... and hope your 'husband' finds the paperwork soon ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Those are definitely people I look up to as well. Great post.
cancer is all too close to my life recently, as you know. it really helped to have such wonderful friends like you!
Great heroes! There are so many people that we could list as heroes.
You're absolutely right! There are so many heroes, all around us.
