Reminder to self........
....to make contingency plans!
Yesterday I had planned to go for a country walk along the banks of the River Severn with a friend and then have lunch in a country pub. I was intending to take my camera and take lots of photos to use for today's post. I was really looking forward to getting some, exercise and fresh air. I have been like a recluse for weeks, only stepping outside the house for mundane things like shopping and my twice weekly swim. However, there was no Wednesday swimming session this week because the pool is used for a family fun day during the school holiday. Hence the planned walk! Unfortunately, it was a bit foggy yesterday and my friend, rightly, thought it might be worse by the river so we postponed the idea~ therefore bang goes my post!! The photo above is what I would have hoped to see!! Of course sensible, organised bloggers would have a back up draft waiting to fill the gap~ not this one!

Now one thing I would ask of all my kind readers, is that you take a minute to go over and welcome Kinta to the world of blogging. Kinta has recently moved to live with her mum, who is also a fairly new blogger. I'm sure she would be delight to have you drop in!

Beautiful view! Maybe you can take that walk soon, it sounds wonderful!
Kitten I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Friday but the weather is not so good now!
Shame that you missed the walk it looked like a nice one.
I LOVE the Crocus photo blog header Chris, BEAUTIFUL!
Walk and a pub lunch sounds great to me, hope you plan again! May be we should move back to UK, miss the pubs!:D
Too bad! The fog can sometimes help one to take very nice photos.
On my way to go say hi to Kinta. I love reading new blogs.
Uh...that last comment was me. Sorry.
Asha I like the header but it's too big, I must ask my guru how to make it smaller! I don't want it to take too long to load for visitors.
AC I did think about that~ but I didn't really want to go by myself!
nikki I'm sure she will appreciate it :)
I love the new banner !
Great photo to visualize your virtual trip.
I'm on my way to Kinta's.
swampy thanks :)
I don't think there is a rule that says you HAVE to post every day mum.
sam how can it be a 'daily delve into my life' if I don't post every day!
i don't know... The fog can be peaceful and lovely too...
Organised bloggers would have had a backup, inventive bloggers would have written a post explaining why they haven't got a post.
I don't know if I've ever had a draft post waiting to be used. I guess that's why I can't manage to post every single day....
I'm going to go say hi to Kinta as well!
thankyou so much chris.
I was awakened this morning by cries of WOW and LOOK AT THIS... i knew straight away what it was that was making kinta so excited...it was all the lovely, supportive comment love that she recieved.

P.s.I too like the Crocus picture it is beautiful
Sounds like it would have been a wonderful time. Hopefully you can do it soon!
Hopefully you will be able to take your scenic walk later in the week! Love the beautiful flowers in your header...and it didn't take any longer to load! Off to visit your friends!
I bet that walk would have been great. I love taking walks by the water like that. Of course, I would have to drive for hours in order to do it, so it's out of the question for me. Hopefully you'll get the chance again and you'll also take your camera :o)
I will take you for lots of walks whatever the weather when you visit.
Good luck with the weather and walking hand in lens with your camera!
beccy ~ looking forward to it not long now!
You're a sweetheart, ya know, Chris? I'll be happy to meet/greet your bloggity friends, just because you asked so nicely.
(and I've gotten caught off guard, too, when planning a post and the weather not cooperating...it happens to the best of us!)
