Valentine Surprise!
I wasn't expecting to be writing a second post today!
However, when I arrived in front of my computer first thing this morning, I found a couple of little surprises that I want to share with you! The lovely little wooden heart is an ornament for the Christmas tree and the plate of goodies come from a Deli near where Embee works. Just look at the name of the Deli which is very apt for today!
I tried the biscuit (cookie) and it was flavoured with lavender. I have seen recipes using lavender in cooking but have never tried it myself, despite having a bush growing in the garden! So I now have some lovely treats for my coffee breaks for the next few days!!
Thank you Embee I know you will be reading this~ just one thing where did you hide the champagne!!

can embee send instructions on how to be sweet to the man please?
oh lovely, enjoy!
He hid the champagne in the marmite pot of course. duh!
Don't you remember the salty sweet lavender almonds you tried in Napa recently?
We have a lavender farm near where we live and they have a tearoom with all sorts of goodies. I was a bit apprehensive about their lavender scones but my parents said they smelt and tasted wonderful (I have no sense of smell unfortunately). I know there are quite a few recipes you can use lavender for.
I hope you enjoyed your valentines treats!
That's so wonderful!
Enjoy your Valentine's Day!
Sam I do remember those but I wasn't too keen on them. This biscuit was much nicer.
jennie I keep saying I'm going to be more adventurous with the lavender!
enidd now remember where the glue goes so not sure that he wasn't being a bit too sweet!! I'm sure you wouldn't want him to encourage the man into bad habits!

sagari thank you for dropping by again. By the way I love the look of your carrot cake. I'm going to try that recipe sometime. I have just found a recipe of my mother's for carrot cake, made with honey so I'm going to try this one first!
