Rocking Grandmas

Some of you who read my blog regularly might remember this Witty Wednesday post, when I had a bit of fun with the pictures! Just after this Laurie gave me an award and Pamela commented......

"I see that award/button has a blog address on it.
Hey - we ought to invent a new blog button with OUR addresses on it. You could use that motorcycle grandmas you photoshopped! hee haw!"

Little did Pamela know that I had been pondering for ages about making my own button. However me being me, I didn't have an original idea in my head! Eureka, Pamela didn't realise it but she had just given me the perfect idea!
I have never seen a button just for 'grandmas'! I am still pretty useless with my photoshop but I had a little play around. What I came up with looked reasonable when it was large but it was hopeless when I made it smaller. So in the end I had to enlist a little help, from an expert and the final result is below..............
Now I'm quite sure hope all the grandmas out there are going to covet this award!! and I am going to start the ball rolling by giving this to 5 Rocking Grandmas.

Lisa-Marie
Katy
Swampy
Sandy
Beth

You may pass it on provided you link to this post. Thank You. I am sure Pamela will be giving out some awards soon!!

I would like to thank the Academy (ChrisB) for this prestigious award. There are many people out there in the audience tonight who have made this possible. Mainly, our 6 kids who have been busy creating 8 grandkids (with 2 more on the way). I promise to live up to this award and keep on Rockin' and embarrasing all our children for a long time. It will be an honor to proudly display this award on my side bar. I will have to employ the help of my cousin, The Nekked Lizard Lady, to place it there. Once again, thank you ChrisB.

Thank you so much, Chris! I promise to do my very best to live up to the wonderful example set by you, Pamela, and my fellow recipients. Mostly, to the wonderful example set by my mom. Watching her with my kids showed me how to do it!

Thanks again.

re Swampy: Even grandma's like arm candy.

You did a lovely job on the button. Now I'm really thinking big. Instead of a Blogher convention - we need a Rockin' Grandmas get together. Ha!

Oh I love it and covet! :) Yippee! Thanx Chris!

Pamela~now that sounds a brilliant idea if only! This is our joint button so I didn't want to hog all the grandmas!!

karmyn all the best partnerships are based on ideas and execution!!

lisa marie glad you like it :)

What an amazing button. Too bad I have to wait another 20 (please lord, 25 would be better) years until I'm a grandma!

You are definitely a grandma that rocks! If my grandmother blogged, I'd ask if I could pass it along to her (if you remember, I posted a photo of her with her white hair flying in the air while she was in the front seat of a rollercoaster). However, she's 87 years old and I don't think she's ever seen a computer in person.

sauntering soul I remember seeing your post. My mum (who is a great gran and 84) likes to know I blog about her. I had to laugh because the other day she said 'I wonder if I should have a laptop' which is hilarious as she forgets how to work the TV sometimes!!
