Childhood Book
I was at a bit of a loss as to what to write about today and decided to share one of my early childhood books with you. I can't remember exactly how old I was when I had this book but my guess is we are talking some 57 years ago. I just loved this book and would spend hours looking at the pretty dresses, reading and dreaming. Doesn't every little girl want to be a fairy princess, I know I did.
I wanted to do a bit of experimenting so I am presenting this as a slide show, sorry if you find it a bit long and tedious. (4 mins approx)
PS If anyone does watch this slide show please will you tell me if jumps or runs smoothly thanks.

What vivid pictures in the book! I can see why you loved it so as a child.
The slide show went very well. I'm trying to learn to do such things, but my learning curve isn't quite as steep as I'd like!
It was very smooth, Ken Burns would be proud of you!
I don't know why, but for some reason I have the urge for some rabbit stew.
Your video was very smooth. What a lovely land for a little girl's mind to go play in! Thanks for sharing.
That looks like a great book. I haven't seen it before.
Come on over I left you and award on my blog.
what a beautiful book, I always wanted to be a fairy when I was little. And the music really got me - more childhood memories of Watership Down!

My4kids It's so old and not what children want these days! It was never a well known book.
Alix I haven't quite mastered finding music to fit but I thought it sort of went with the theme!
such innocence - I have a book that I'm saving for a post sometime. It's the first one I ever remember someone reading to me.
Are you kidding me??? He made millions! And he's still raking it in.

WT thanks for the link. I remember looking up KB when I got this new MAC and was playing around and wanted to know what this was. I remember reading this, hence my comment!
(This effect, present in many professional and home software applications was affectionately named "The Ken Burns Effect" in Apple's iPhoto and iMovie software. Ken Burns does not receive monetary compensation for the use of this technique, although he has an agreement with Apple to provide computers for children).
Pamela I was hoping this would be a fun monday topic one week, if it ever comes up I do have others!
Beccy it's beginning to fall apart now, who will treasure it when I'm gone!!
