Flowering Cacti
This beautiful cacti is in full bloom and helps cheer up another stormy day. I have several plants but confess I do not look after them as well as I might so the watering, feeding and resting is all a bit haphazard, hence the random flowering.
On quite another tangent I gather David Beckham is off to LA when his current contract in Spain finishes in August. I'm not a football fan in any way shape or form but the press make sure Becks and Posh keep a high profile. I don't suppose the £128 million contract for 5 years influenced his decision!! I believe that's around a million dollars a week; nice if you can get it but is anyone worth that amount of money. I don't think so.

The more press the real Becks & Posh have, the more traffic to my site - which makes me millions of dollars a year all of which I totally deserve, of course.
I thought you didn't make money from your site Sam.
It's funny Mum, I was just listening to this on the news when I turned to your blog. You really are up on current affairs!
Sam you could keep me in the manner to which I would like to be accustomed it you had that much money.!!
Beccy I have to keep the old grey matter stimulated- not that I'm really that interested in them but trivia can be useful for crosswords and puzzles as you know.
Pretty plant. I've been meaning to buy a potted plant for the indoors this winter to keep away the gloom.
As it turns out I'm going to have a potted Meyer lemon and a potted kaffir lime in the dining room for the next two days -- temperature is going down to the 20s, so they'll have to be moved into the house.
(Sam, the laurel plant is staying outdoors, but it can take it; Cranky puts a tent over it.)
cookiecrumb what I would give for temp in the 20s we'd think summer had arrived early. Lemons now that would be something I would love to grow. The pictures I saw of the Meyers looked wonderful.
Well maybe same doesn't make money yet, but the name coincidence could be very useful if the Beckhams do move. i'm sure it's good for lots of sponsorship!!
BTW Chirs, I'm not doing my radio show today, but I am on the BBC Radio Glos between 3 and 5. well my feature is anyway. My voice isn't heard!! It's about Mary Rose young's Pottery. Radio Show back next week!
Sally
p.s. Meant to write Sam........
Sally picked this up at about 3:50 and tuned in; then a friend called so I didn't get to hear that much of it. Am now listening to last half hour. Unfortunately I think I have missed your feature as it's sport now.
Oh no! Chris, I forgot to do a Fahrenheit/Celsius conversion. Ha ha. 28ºF would be -2.2ºC, and I wouldn't wish that on you.
