What will I be when I grow up?

This is one of the little monsters who have been eating our vegetables. They clearly think our few precious plants are a gourmet meal. I'm not up on my butterflies but I think it is probably going to be a Cabbage White...that's if it lives that long, which is unlikely!

Chris, army grubs have a tendency to converge upon us once a year. They eat through everything, gardens, lawns, flowers etc.

The first time we encountered them we were advised to poison. The following year I refused to do so. The grass came back greener than ever after they ate it.

I suppose they are referred to as "army" as they converge as one and devour everything in sight. They move from house to house like they are on a secret mission. Eating up all the roots beneath the soil.

The moths that emerge are blue and black. Not sure what they call them.
