Crouching Spider Sculpure by Louise Bourgeois

I do hope no one has Arachnophobia!!
Just outside the Ferry Building a new sculpture has appeared. This is Louise Bourgeois’ “Crouching Spider” and it is on loan for 8 months and stands on the Embarcadero. This large metal sculpture of a spider does have a certain charm and it is well worth a visit.

Below are a few that I played with.....

I wonder which version you like best, if any, please let me know!
Have a good weekend......we have torrential rain so I don't think I will be going far!

It is one and five for me.

No rain here today. My Cotoneaster tree has no more berries left. My patio is covered in what the birds didn't eat plus what they did, so I am off to clean it up!

My grandson and I liked the pencil sketch version the best. He thinks maybe he can do that! I'll let you know how it turns out.

I'd rather see the spider entirely disappear -- but I think I like the last one best

Yikes, that would give a kid nightmares!

My favorite is the second to last.

Thank you everyone:
The second to last seems popular and I did have some fun, it's surprising how much time you can spend in photoshop. Particularly when you really don't know know what you're doing!! if I did I would probably get there much quicker!

The first one you worked with reminds me of a comic book rendering, only there should be a super hero lurking in the background!

My favorite tweeked photos are the second one and the next to last one. It's a neat sculpture! I wonder how hard it is to move, you said it's on loan right? SO I assume they have to move it. I would fear killing the spider by moving it. :(
