How to Survive a Heart Attack Alone

I thought I would share this with you. It was sent to me by one of our Food Coop members who sometimes reads my blog but never comments. This is the first time I have used the blogger video upload so fingers crossed it works.

Let's hope none of us ever need this information.

POSTSCRIPT:
I MAY HAVE BEEN A BIT HASTY IN POSTING THIS INFORMATION AS DEBORAH GAVE ME THIS LINK WHICH DOES SUGGEST THE INFO IS MISLEADING. So sorry folks I'm not such a smart-alek ass after all!!

That seems like good advice, I was just planning on putting my head between my legs and kissing my arse goodbye.

As a former med student I have to strongly advise against this. There is a big difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest. The former does not always lead to the latter. If it's a simple heart attack "cough CPR" can actually make things worse. People at high risk of cardiac arrest can actually be trained in cough cpr, but generally it is not recommended. The origins of this video (and an email I've seen before with the same info) are discussed here:

Just thought I should point that out.

Deborah that's interesting you should say that. My friend Tina was here for lunch and she was looking at this and said she had been told something very similar on a fitness walk organised by her Dr.
I've just had a look at the link you gave me so will add this as a postscript to the post.
