Have you played at Google Earth??
Without a Fun Monday Post to prepare I am rather at a loss as to what to talk about today. I love Fun Monday but don't lynch me for saying that it is quite nice to have a week off. I know I don't have to join in every time but somehow it's become part of my weekly routine. I even have embee asking what the topic is this week!
Willowtree sent me a picture of my house after he had taken a peep on Google Earth. Well that was like red rag and I had to go and have a play and this is what I found. I don't know how often the satellite goes around but by deduction as my car is not in the back yard and Embee's car is parked outside I am probably shopping. Also it might be a weekend as my neighbour's white van is on his drive and during the week he would be at work. Has anyone else had a look at their neighbourhood ?

Hello Bristol!
beccy your house was not shown very clearly.
Chris - actually I have..that was about a year ago - it feels scary how people can actually see where you live just by checking on the net!
Nice of Willowtree to stop by for a visit. I have played with Google Earth. What it is fun to visit others on the planet and to see things that you recognize.
I hear that when Google Earth has been upgraded to a higher definition you will actually be able to go right down and look in peoples windows! I'm just off into town to buy some net curtains, bye.
Pontillius- that's the worrying bit but we all know big brother is watching and getting closer. I think I still have my old net curtains so I'd better get them out !!
I kind of think it's 1/2 cool and 1/2 Big Brother-ish, so I'm not sure!
I think it's a little intrusive, and also rather inequitable as not everywhere is as clear as this picture. But I also think it's a lot of fun.
WT did you find your place?
Chris, Google thinks I live on another planet. Last time I looked, I was off the flight plan. I have mixed feelings about BB too - England certainly seems to be covered in cameras!
Yes - and living in the country, my place was very blurry. Not clear at all.
Kind of cool though!
That´s cool!Nice to see your place!
Chris, type in 'leire, england' and you will find my house, 3rd on the left from the church. x
john that looks a lovely place to live, so much greenery everywhere. Where is the pub in relation to the church ?
purpleworms cameras everywhere but they don't seem to record the crimes!
karmyn it's really odd how some places are so much clearer than others.
I haven't done that; sounds like a fun way to see the world.
That's pretty clear. Google Maps should give you the same think -- I think.
this just makes me want to sing
the song from Mr. Rogers
"Won't you be my neighbor?"
(:
The last time I went to look it was a very old shot.. So I'm headed over there now to see
It looks like it was taken before they painted the keep clear signs on your road.
My husband loves to play on google earth and my dad has virtually visited our town this way. It is so neat, isn't it!
Some of those shots are very old. I went to have a look at Hastings and there seemed to be a battle taking place on the beach....
keith you're hysterical :) :) LOL
it's funny that your house and street are so clear and it will not even come that close to mine! i love that site. i love google in general for finding places...
lol @ your being out shopping :)
elena jane that's the same as when I looked at Beccy's house!!
