Fun Monday# 29

Beckie wants to know what your favorite treat is. Is it sweet or sour? Is it plain or salty? Is it candy or chocolate? Is it homemade or store bought? For instance, if your favorite is chocolate, tell us what kind specifically - sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes not so much. I have heard a lot of talk about Junior Mints, but is it your favorite or just a tasty treat? It can be anything, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream or chips, maybe you have more than one favorite - that is ok, just show us your favorite(s) and tell us why you like it so much. C’mon, what gets you all juiced up?

This little gang is my favourite treat. I think they look very sweet and I can never get enough !!!
When they're not around I can always console myself with these salty little chaps!!!
This weekend my favourite homemade treat was Mars Bar Cakes (I won't tell you all the high calorie content that make up these tempting little treats..... that Ben, my youngest grandson, helped make. I also think he managed to eat the majority of them as well!!

I've had a marvellous week with Beccy and the children. They go home today and I will be taking them to the airport before I can start reading about all your indulgences. I bet we are in for some wonderful treats!!!

Update:
If anyone would like the recipe for the Mars Bar Cake here is Sam's post about making them. Becks & Posh: Beccy's Marvellous Mars Bar Cake

Those are among my favorites, too.

Would you share how you made the goodies in the final photo? They look delicious, and different than just plain rice krispies squares.

From what I can tell, we are in for some wonderful treats. Your picture of the Mars bar does look rather tempting itself. Mars Bar cake must be very tasty.

My problem is that I like all of the treats and few fruits or veggies.

OH - Pringles do not last in my house. If the lid comes off, it stays off and the can is emptied out too quickly!!!

I've been able to be sane about potato chips. I only like them if there is some wonderful dip.

But I love nuts and caramel --- and Beccy's recipe for flapjacks is already a favorite for friends coming to our house

Kila see Sam's comment she has put a link to a post she did about the mars bar cakes.

beckie the MB cakes are a fav in this family.

sam thanks for putting in the link that was a good post of yours. I don't have any recent photos of you that one was 2005. I didn't think you would want me to use a profile one!

mjd far too tasty!!!

AC my problem is I like it all!!

melanie family or choc no contest !!

karmyn I won't tell you how many boxes of Pringles they got through. I thought I had hidden away a box but it was found so I had to fish the container out of the bin to take photo!!

pamela I always have some nuts with my muesli but caramel would be my first choice from any choc box.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but I think you have a poltergeist. There's seems to be a disembodied head in that family snap.

I love Mars Bars, although not as much as I used to (I had a Mars Bar on the way to work every day for three years, I've only just started eating them again)

I thought the same thing as WT.

Also I put Mars Bars in mine and the link I included said they were not available in north america. And that the UK recipe is different now to the Aussie one, and indeed it does look slightly different.

I love that Mars Bar slice.

The Mars Bars Cakes looks sooooooo yummy.

It looks like WT beat me to it on commenting about the floating head. That's just a little freaky, ma'am. It reminds me of one of a spoof on email hoaxes that I get once in a while pleading for help for a boy born without a body. Nice looking family, though, with or without bodies attached.

Those Mars bars definitely look like our Milky Way bars. I'm going to have to try the recipe. They look so much better than regular Rice Crispy treats.

OOOH, I miss pringles, haven't had them in a long time! And I'm doing everything in my power NOT to click on the link for the recipe for the mars bars cake...I'm not looking, I'm not looking...

her indoors I'm getting better at not doing that -no I lie these were on special offer so I had two packets but only ate one bar the rest went into the mixture!!.

hootin annie I think we will all feel oinkish after today!!

amy reading all the posts has just made me eat an icecream!!

swampy the perfect sort of Mick Jagger tongue!!

steffi I love my fruit and veg as well and I actually tend to eat more of the sweet things when the family visit.

asha Mollie's dad (Joules) didn't come over with them this time!!

tracy why is it all the nice things aren't good for us!!

theotherbear there has been a lot of controversy here about the content of mars bars. I should have put the 'head' in a different position to make it less obvious!!

nikki hoorah for Pringles:)

kaytabug that is so true what secret addictive ingredient do they put in them!!!

debbie that was a fun post they love making them and it's one of our party regulars.

debs my daughter says they have had their sugar and salt rations for weeks to come!!

jenni I just wanted to get my other daughter in the frame, but she was not happy with it - she's an animator so expects perfection!!

karina look at it look at it just see how cute the grand kids were a couple of yrs ago!!

susan I don't think I'm going to live that floating head down! !!

Oh thanks alot. I will be making that cake this week. Cuz I am not yet fat enough. If I eat it with the Pringles I can keep my bloodpressure up to the high standards that my Dr has been so happy (Not) about. I am a sucker for recipes that come with pictures. Lovely family picture.

My heart melted when I opened up this post - your children and grandchild have a very special "Mum". I put together a family pic with a floating head once - I couldn't leave out my brother just because he wasn't able to be there (he was in LA at the time helping restore power for the Hurricane Katrina victims).
