My Secret Swap Surprise Arrived
Just in case you have no idea what I am talking about you can read how Frannie introduced us to her original idea for this swap here. I'm not sure how many bloggers finally entered but we all had great fun packing and sending off parcels and then sitting back to wait for a surprise to arrive. Well yesterday when my doorbell rang I guessed it was a delivery and I was not to be disappointed. My parcel had come all the way from BS in Virginia The First of Six.
I am now the very proud owner of a special coffee mug and I am just going to 'love' drinking my coffee from it as I settle down to blog. I really like honey (I wonder how she knew) but I overcame my temptation to try it straight away and I will savour it probably when I'm alone (so I don't need to share it-is this mean). The gourmet peanuts I will share with Embee as he is rather partial to them so a BIG thank you Beth you really made my day. Also a thank you to Frannie for all the organisation.

Looks good mum, I know how much you enjoy your honey.
enjoy all your new goodies!
That looks like a fun thing to do. We tried it with postcards once. It went so so.
beccy I could do with one of your homemade loaves to go with it. I have asked dad to look at the price of le Cruset when he goes to France- I'm hoping he can get me a pan cheaper than here so I can make my own.
frannie my mug is at my side as I write
Ac postcards are a good idea when you say it went 'so so' what was the catch??
If I had known you liked honey so much - I would have sent you a MUCH LARGER jar. I hope you enjoy your VA made products. The Post Office didn't like my idea of sending along a bottle of Virginia made wine! Maybe next time, I just won't mention it on the customs form !!!
bs I was delighted with my goodies thank you so much.
Lucky you. BTW, plantation peanuts from Wakefield? I've never seen a plantation in Wakefield, ee, bah gum!!
Great gifts. I don't think your mean to keep you honey to yourself. I always have things I get for myself and if its something I really like I won't share either!
Looks good!
I would have instantly eaten the honey!
Very happy!
johng- very good (lOL)
my4kids that makes me feel better- I won't feel guilty next time.
kila ah but I still have the anticipation of how lovely it will be when I do open it.
cc extremely so, I feel very lucky as I usually only get bills and junk mail!!
Yummy stuff!! Looks like a lot of fun! Glad your post man didn't make you wait for a second delivery of this package!
"Virginia is for Lovers" just seems so American, it makes me laugh to think someone in the UK is drinking out of that mug. I just can't imagine a "Bristol is for Lovers" mug (maybe "Bristol is for Animators")!
I love honey too!! and that looks yummy! :-)
Dear chrisb. Heheh I love the cup. I'd like to make one that says, "Kyiv is for lovers" because there's always so many people pashing on the street, that I have dubbed it the city of lurve.
Great package...I've yet to see one I wouldn't be thrilled with.
sabrina luckily I was in this time!
amy thanks for dropping by -that's one for Nick Park to consider, come to think of it think there are loads of Wallace and Gromit things around; now why didn't I think of that when I was making up my parcel to send.
LBM I use a lot of manuka honey that has health benefits have you tried it?
Little miss moi a new business venture I've been thinking about that for bloggers mugs!

Yumm!!!
I just got my package on Saturday - and was gone on for the weekend, so will have to share it tomorrow! (Mine is full of my favorite - chocolate!)
I had a T-shirt that said Virginia is for Lovers. Must still be part of their tourist promotion.
I didn't sign up for that fun exchange... maybe next time
