Fun Monday # 126 A messy house!! + My 1,000th Post

It just so happens that this Fun Monday is also my 1,000th Post.

Gattina has challenged us to show her what we would call a messy place and put a picture of it in our post. She wants to compare, if she is messy ...she says:

It can be a room, your basement, the attic, a drawer or whatever, but it has to be messy!

This was easy for me as, I'm sad to say, I do have quite a messy house so my guess is Gattina's home will look like a palace compared to mine. It always used to be our cellars that were very untidy but we had a good turn out a few months back so I decided the garage is the place I'm going to show you today.
As you can see it's actually quite small; it hasn't been used for a car since we first moved in 23 years ago. It is top of the list for a good turn out once Embee retires from work which is likely to be around September time. I can just about get to my freezer and would you believe under all that rubbish there is an exercise bench and weights! Oh and a solid dining room table that once belonged to Embee's aunt and is looking for a good home!

Even worse than the garage is Embee's study but I can't even get in there to take a picture. He's going to be very busy when he does finally retire....or maybe he will change his mind and keep working!!

Marmie I can tell you he's going to be busy for a very long time. For years he's said I'll do that when I retire LOL.

Congratulations on the 1,000th Post! I am about 40 behind you.:(

When I see a garage or room like you show above I want to get in there and have a good old rummage. I am sure there are many hidden treasures.

All my life the scourge of tidiness haunted me, now in my older slower years I am learning to accept a little clutter. You know the kind of thing... set something down for five minutes and it stays there for a month. At least the spiders make quiet pets. ;-)

We make space for the car in our garage in winter, but summer is a different story.

Someone else is going to have to do some work within the studyas I do not need to take away with me so many clothes that half of them come back un worn And I only use one suitcase not the five or six that there are about!!! Love EmBee.

Congrats Chris.

Well I have plenty of messy spots.

But my teenage niece would do better----her room that is.

Good job you and dad are the parents, not the children, otherwise you would have been grounded in the garage for the past 23 years, not allowed out until you tidied it up.

Congratulations on 1000th Post ChribB! Just think about all that good stuff you've sent out into the ethersphere. How many years have you been blogging to accomplish this (I'm too lazy to check your profile--sorry!)

You're right, Embee may want to postpone retirement unless he plans to start a blog--What I did First 6 Months Retired. :-)

Now THAT is a messy garage! LOL! Ours always ends up a bit like that before we attempt to sort it once again! haha! Although since we got all the motor bikes we had to keep it much neater.

(Did you see Janis's and Churchlady's so called messy garages? They were very neat and tidy LOL)

Happy 1,000th post! Wow!

Beccy I'd forgotten you used the garage in the early days.

Grannymar I have so many of those pets LOL

Faye I will have my 3rd blogiversary in Sept.

AC it would actually be nice to have room to put my car away and I then wouldn't have to look at it in the yard.

Karisma I thought I was seeing (Janis & Churchlady's) the after pictures they must have been horrified at mine!

wendy but not much worse LOL.

Churchlady but yours was not messy in my eyes:)

Bethany I thought the same as you.

Sam I'm glad you're not my mother LOL.
