2nd crop of home grown spuds!
Do you recall this post about the red potatoes we grew in a tub. Well yesterday the second crop was ready to harvest. These were a smaller, white variety, and a different shape. I am planning on cooking some for dinner tonight so I hope they taste as good as they look.
This is two down and one tub left to go for this year! We may expand a bit next year all being well.

yum. my mom brought me some home grown 'taters' and I've selfishly only eaten 2 of them, scrubbed, skin and all, and "baked" in the microwave. I'd just bought 10 lbs from the store, which are nowhere near the quality of the homegrown ones. i will have to make something out of them so i can share the new ones with the hubby. yum yum!
They looks gorgeous! I love garden 'taters. Mmmmm.
great pics! That's a lot of scrubbing. Enjoy!
They look lovely! I haven't harvested my potatoes yet. Your post has made me realize that I should probably do that.
yum. I need to go dig mine out too.
I've got a bag of home grown potatoes Clare gave me, must use them soon.
Oooh, yummy! Lots of butter!
Very nice!
Coincidentally (or not, better check with Mother Nature), we harvested our last load of potatoes yesterday. It was a happy experiment, and like you, we'll try it again.
