Fun Monday # 41
Hootin'Anni is trying to
Here are "Mother Anni's" directions..... Well I've précied them just to reduce the uploading time... I'm sure you all know it's 30 large steps ..and snap view.. followed by 15 baby steps and snap view.....
I wondered where these giant steps would take me, particularly as I have shown you lots of my house in past Fun Monday posts. So leaving my computer my large strides took me across the dining room, left turn down the hall, through the porch, out of the front door, down more steps and through a side gate onto the pavement (sidewalk). However, I then couldn't decide which way to point the camera~ so sorry I'm breaking the rules as usual! The first thing I looked at was the scaffold tower that was put up on Friday so that my neighbour, who happens to be a carpenter, could replace some fascia that had blown off during the gales we had last January. I know that's a long time ago and I have been waiting all summer for this work to do done. It is almost impossible to get a small amount of scaffold and that's with my neighbour working in the building trade. Anyway it's all done, now I wonder how long it will take to get the scaffold removed!!
Having decided this was a boring photo I did a couple of turns (on the spot) and took some shots of the garden~ still 30 strides from the computer!
My 15 baby steps took me back to the front door and this was my immediate shot. The hall radiator and Sam's little wicker chair that she's had since she was a toddler (I know I have shown these before sorry for repetition).
After taking the first set of photos I decided I would try again this time turning right from the dining. This led me up the stairs to the top landing and the bathroom was my first shot and my 15 little steps then took me back to my mezzanine level and from that position I got a shot of my mother's bear that sits on her shelf above a little Victorian fireplace. I also got a glimpse of the view across the golf course from her bedroom window (should have presented these pictures the other way around but I'm sure you get the idea)!
I know I'm only supposed to have two photos but mine are clumped together~ well that my excuse!! Now I'm heading over to Anni's place to see if I'm the only deviant!!
I cannot believe it is a year ago today that I was on my way to New England.

What great collection of pictures! and what a Fun Monday :)
More scaffolding, I thought you had some up in the summer when I was over.
I didn't see anything about only two photos, if that's one of the rules then I'm screwed.
I love that bathroom!!!!
WT we actually raised the bathroom ceiling and extended a wall to put in a larger shower (you can't see this in the pic). The tiles were hand made replicas of original Victorian tiles (had a friend in the trade~ who drew them to my attention and designed the pattern for the tiling).
love your bathroom, i need to remember about fun mondays oops again then!
I remember having to clean all those tiles every week!
Love the little wicker chair, a cozy place to sit to get warm! Happy Monday Chris!:))
What an eyesore for the neighbors!
I love the garden, though, at least you can look at that to get your mind off it.
I love the bathroom!
Lisa
I am totally in love with your bathroom. Oh I am so jealous. :D
Wow, that is very nice. I love to peek into other bloggers worlds.
Beautiful tile!
LOL! What fun! Personally, I would have stopped with the scaffolding - being SURE that NO ONE else would have THAT! (to me it's all about being different!) But your garden is gorgeous! I LOVE your bleeding hearts! Just gorgeous! That little wicker chair is adorable too!
I posted more photos (thanks for the clumps concept to excuse myself) and like WT, I didn't see anything about only having too photos either, so I was feeling pretty out of it by the time I visited here. Glad I am not the only one to venture away from 2 photos.
I hope your neighbour gets rid of the scaffold soon. Nice view of the golf course. I like the blue ribbons on the wall.
I saw the comment about two shots AFTER I had posted more...isn't FM about breaking or at least bending the rules? That's what Swampy told me ;).
Your garden is beautiful; I'm glad you decided on "clumps" of shots (the scaffolding? not so beautiful).
It's fun to think about all of the FM people wandering around their homes taking these pictures...and YOU did it TWICE! Smiles galore!
I couldn't walk that far, lol. Great pics!!
Bathroom envy! or is that wc envy? Great pics. Thanks for sharing.
I really like the tile work in the bathroom. So much nicer than my beginning to peel wallpaper!
And I always love the pics of your garden. Can't see too many!
I'm not sure which I love more - the bathroom or the garden. What a great house!
Wow, I love that old radiator. And Bristol is such a gorgeous place. My mate was at Uni there and loved it. We used to stay at the Baltic Wharf Caravan site when we were little and visit the SS Great Britain.
All of a sudden, I'm worried about that wicker chair being so close to the radiator. But I'm OCD like that. LOVE the garden!
I'm all for the deviating! And, your garden is beautiful.
I like that you broke the rules. :) Loved seeing all of your views.
I completely broke the "two photo rule" as well.
Great pictures! The garden is beautiful.
what a cute wicker chair!
and i think you can have as many photos as you like.
i looooooooooove your bathroom!!!!
and i had more than 2 photos, also.
I think the scaffolding picture looks pretty neat - not something you see every day in your neighborhood.
Cute little chair!
It was nice to see your garden again. Very pretty.
I love your bathroom too! But, I really love your brick patio and garden!!
Excellent photos!!! You did good.
Lovley pics. Beautiful bathroom. Hey! That's cool having replicas of the original Victorian tiles. I wish my bathrooms had that much room.
I need to borrow some of yall fellow Fun Monday people's ideas on landscaping or just borrow yall! :)
Hey that would make a great discussion or a Fun Monday! There is also a cute story, I think, about the house and our road. Our road is one of the oldest paved roads in Pontotoc. I better stop before I reveal all. I have a big mouth. :)
I have enjoyed all of your pictures and love the bathroom....Thanks for your visit to my place. Baba
As usual Chris, you have shown us some great shots.
I forgot to mention the neat radiator and wicker chair. I have not lived in a house with those hot water heat radiators, but my mother-in-law's home had those heaters.
those are great views! well worth the broken rules ... :o)
thanks for stopping by!
love the pictures....bathroom looks great too....and yes George can be a little spooky at times, but I am used to him now.. :)
Oh, that is a nice bathroom! Love the garden too. I've seen a few beautiful gardens today and I'm more aware of how much work mine needs.
You definetly aren't the only one to break the rules a bit. Great pictures though. Glad the neighbor finally got the scaffolding fixed hopefully it doesn't get torn down again!
I LOVE your radiator. So much more character than the modern (yukky) ones I've got in my house;).
The scaffolding has gone so it was only up over the weekend which wasn't too bad.
Thank you to everyone who admired my bathroom. It is beginning to look a bit tired now, after all these years it could do with a face lift!!
robin yes I agree with swampy -I was always one for bending the rules and I'm very indecisive, hence doing it twice and still not knowing which to use!!
jo beaufoix it's nice to know you have visited Bristol. I bet you wouldn't recognise the harbour area there has been so much development.
tiggerlane the little chair is not really close enough to get hot, but I guess you mean for drying out the wicker. It doesn't seem to be getting too brittle and the chair is nigh on 40 years old!
Several of you mentioned the radiator~ I'll let you into a secret ~ it's not old but a reproduction we bought when we upgraded the heating. It is the only one like that in the house, but in the bathroom there is a gold one (not one of my better ideas as it's beginning to wear).
you aren't the only deviant. I think the two of us could drum up some real devious stuff.
We had radiators that looked like that when I was in elementary school. In the winter we children would put our mittens and sweaters over them to dry when we came in from recess. It was NOT a pleasant odor. Yours looks cozy and snug.
Great photos Chris (I posted more than 2 too) I love the the Sam's little chair and your bathroom is fabulous
i love seeing photos of your house and around where you live!!
your bathroom is so pretty!! :-)
