The 'yolk's on me'

When I bought these eggs I was told that everyone would be a double 'yolk'. Oh yes I thought.. but the guy was true to his word. They are from local free range hens and taste delicious.

They seem to be more common in Free Range well fed hens.

They have such a lovely rich colour I can almost taste them.

Ha ha, that Sam, she's such a yolker! But did don't think she came up with that herself, I bet she poached those funnies from a comedian. Sorry, my brain seems so scrambled this morning.

I had a carton of doubles a while back and it wasn't until I'd eaten the last one that I realised it would have made a post!

My Mums milkman sells double-yokers and Artist thinks they are amazing....she loves eggs! I quite like them but am always reminded of the comparison to my chest which kind of puts me off!:(

Sam and WT - you guys are such crack-ups.

I've only seen a double yolk on rare occasion and it is an exciting moment when it does happen!

I bought a carton of eggs once that were all double yolked. No free range here, just the WalMart special.

I've never before or since seen one, until your photo.

What the Flock? Um-let me think... Nest you think me some kind of thieving chick, I'll have you know I am abreast of the situation and have a lot of eggcellent yolks to crack on my rooster and I didn't have to scramble to steal from any comedian - I am perfectly capable of hatching them up myself, hens all this ridiculousness. It's pretty over easy to come up with silly puns since eggs were clearly laid for them. Alwhite?

Very clever Sam I must remember these. I hope Willowtree comes back to read your comments.

I love Sams puns to funny!

I used to see double yolked eggs all the time but haven't seen them in awhile. Although we don't cook eggs much since Izzak hates them if he knows they're there.

Hahahaha! Sam I'm so yellows of your quick wit! You really crack me up! But I won't brood because I ended up with egg on my face, I'll just lay low instead. There's no need to walk on egg shells around me, I'll be fine.

btw Sam, your comment really was both funny and clever, you're a good egg. Wow, it took me a while to write this, close to 3 minutes, should it be this hard?

when I was a kid my cousin had a little machine that cast a light thru the shell and you could see the yolk.. or in this case the double.

It was fascinating.

I had poached eggs on toast with tomato and avacado for breakfast. yum.
