Embee has gone to France
Embee has gone travelling today, he is taking his sister over to France and will only be gone for 5 days. I couldn't go because 'my visitor' doesn't go home until tomorrow and I have an uncle and aunt who I'd already arranged to see on Thursday before they planned this trip. By now they will be in Dover waiting for the ferry to Calais. They will be in Dunkirk for D-Day celebrations. He's taken the back seats out of the car so that he has plenty of room to can stock up with all our favourite tipples on the way back. Hoorah -that means lots of champers!!
I'm off on doggy walking duties before the rain sets in.

Rain? What rain? It's 73 degrees here, not a cloud in the sky, and Dad is out in the garden sunbathing!
john lucky you; it hasn't actually rained here yet but it's overcast and looks threatening also very muggy; certainly no sunbathing for us!! but I might get a second walk in the dry.
C'mon mommy - don't pretend like you really wanted to go with them - I am pretty sure you were glad to have an excuse not to and just sit back and wait for the bubbles to come pouring in.
I'm not sure what champers are but I'm asuming is good....
Enjoy your time home without the hubby
sam I did actually want to go as I've always wanted to see Dunkirk. He has promised to take me away later in the year so we shall see. But you're I will enjoy his booty (as in spoils just so there is no misunderstanding)!!
my4kids it will be nice to cook and eat as I please; champers= chamagne and embee always manages to bring back some really good varieties and not the well known brands which are not always that good.
you should throw a big party while he's gone! :)
frannie if that could be a bloggers party I might be tempted!
I hope you do get to take a holiday together soon Chris. Nice to have champagne to look forward to on his return.
I too am husbandless for the next few days as K has gone off to the TT races. He won't be bringing back any champagne though.........just a bag of smelly clothes and a big cheesy grin!
Yeah, that's the way to travel. "Drive" to France.
I wish I could.
Tipples? Champers?
Tipples=Alcoholic Beverages?
