Marvellous Marmite
We've had Guinness Marmite and Champagne Marmite. Then back in February or March, I read an article about a new Extra strength Marmite. You might recall there are some members of my family who absolutely love Marmite. So no prizes for guessing my latest mission.
Back then I tried all the local supermarkets and had friends checking when they went shopping but had no luck in finding this new version of Marmite. Eventually I let it slip to the back of my mind.
So, when I did my weekly shop last Monday, imagine my surprise when I saw the manager's special!!
You can see I bought three jars, one each for Sam and Beccy and one for us.
We haven't tried it yet so I can't report on the taste, I'm wondering if other Marmite 'lovers' have an opinion!

Well, I can't wait to hear!
I'm still taking baby steps with regular Marmite, which I love. (Although I cut my teeth, so to speak, on the Guinness Marmite that you so generously sent to me.)
It takes the fluff off of ones tongue :) - its SCRUMMOUS..
x
Marmie have you tried the strong version?
Well hello.
Not a Marmite lover, so no opinion.
Hi AC haven't been doing much blogging lately, although I have plenty of photos that I could share.
I look forward to hearing about it! I don't think I've ever had it.
YUCK!!
never heard of it... looks like very strong one
We have Vegemite here in Australia, I'm led to believe that its similar to Marmite???? its described as a "yeast extract" and certainly is a unique taste, I don't think I would want a "stronger" version.
Welcome back to Bloggville.
I love Marmite...not too keen on Guiness although my father would disagree.
Are you blogging again...thinking about it? Perhaps?
Peter I think it's an acquired taste!
Daffy I do rather miss blogging but I've got hooked on FB games. The scrabble and lexulous games help my brain (well that's my excuse LOL) that's to counteract the mindless ones as in farmville and cafe world!
I'm sure you spend much more time on the useless games because I seem to wait ages for you to take your turn at scrabble, so much so that I've have to cave in and befriend Dillon to play scrabble with!
Dillon and I are nearly through the first pot of XO but have a second to look forward to!
Hi Chris ~~ I like Vegemite and it is similar to Marmite I think. Oprah
even tried Vegemite on her recent trip and liked it.
Happy Birthday my friend for the
25th January. I hope you have a wonderful day. Love, Merle.
Will you buy it again? is it better than the original/ Sally :)
