Winter Solstice
Today is the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere so it's the shortest day and the longest night.
I hate the dark evenings so roll on the lighter nights but I know it will be a while before we notice any change.

It is the only thing I dislike about the winter months, the dark mornings and the early dark nights

That would make it our Summer Solstice then. Now wonder I'm not getting much sleep.
