Fill in Friday

We have a host for the next Fun Monday. Sayre has very kindly stepped into the breach once again. I must go and see what she has decided for the topic.

Below is a photo of a butterfly I took back in the summer. It had a damaged wing but still seemed to be flying around quite comfortably. I have no idea on the type of butterfly but maybe one of you will know.

    Nice picture Chris,
    Perhaps, the butterfly is a Fritillary of some kind. What is the name of curious flower where the butterfly has landed?

    I think the flower is a Buddleia, The leaves are wrong for lilac.
